Knowing God
Jesus is our pathway to knowing God. The closer you come to Jesus, the more you can receive what the Father has for you. Faith is a growing process that comes with obedience and communication with God.
God’s Word aids us in knowing God intimately. We shouldn’t have just head knowledge, but we should also know His plan for us. It’s our responsibility to find out what God’s Word says for us. That’s where studying, meditating, hearing and praying brings everything together.
God’s Word for us
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. When we walk with God we are assured everything is going to be all right! That’s because the Word of God opens the door to God, spiritually, physically and financially.
To understand the Father’s plan for you, you must be abiding in Jesus. To find God, you must have an open door and that door is Jesus. “I am the vine; you are the branches. He who remains in Me, and I in him, brings forth much fruit. For without me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) MEV.
“If you remain in Me, and My Words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7) MEV.
Focus on Jesus to meet your needs
Don’t focus on your needs, focus on Jesus who will use our physical needs to meet our real, spiritual needs. When you read God’s Word with a desire to know Jesus, you’ll get more out of it.
Jesus will set you free if you receive the Word (Jesus) into your life and put His Word to work in your life? Find out what the Word says, believe it, and take it and receive it into your life.
Jesus is always here to teach you. Jesus had a teaching moment at the fig tree. When Peter remarked about the fig tree being dead that Jesus cursed, “Jesus answered them, ‘Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be thrown into the sea’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. Therefor I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:22-24) MEV
Now it’s up to you to believe that you have the power through Jesus Christ to speak to ALL CIRCUMSTANCES and have them come to pass if you do it without doubting.
Growing process of grace
The Father loves you and wants you to be blessed. Take your mind off your struggles and get your eyes on God. Being blessed is the result of obedience and real obedience comes from communion with God.
God expects you to start at the beginning. You’ll grow into what God has for you but must be taken one day at a time. Grace is a growing process which takes you from where you are today to the person you will be tomorrow.
Don’t judge yourself or someone else by where anyone else is. Have faith in God. It’s that simple. When we say God’s words, He does the work.
The key is in doing what Jesus said to do, “Have faith in God.” How? By putting the Word of God in your eyes, ears and heart.
In conclusion
If there is a mountain (circumstance) in your life that needs to be spoken to, don’t go another day without speaking to it just as Jesus answered the fig tree from the Word of God.
God can always get in agreement with your prayers when you speak what God’s Word says and believe it. Remember, God said those words first as you answer the circumstance back.
You have power to repeat the very words of God.
If you have never asked Jesus to come into your life now is the time to make your life right with God and accept Jesus into your life.
Prayer of Salvation
God loves you so much, and He’s offering you an abundant life that is full of vision here on earth and eternal life with Him in Heaven. The cross of Jesus is your path to His great redemption plan for you, a plan to bring you into a personal relationship with Him. He’s ready to come into your life and help you make a change if you want Him to.
Romans 10:9-10 says, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised His from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”.
The above is the upside to becoming a Christian, however there is a downside as well. Christians are hated and ridiculed by non-Christian, family, friends and the world. You may become an outsider to family and friends who will reject you and what you believe. So, you must be sure you want and believe in your heart that the upside is more important in your life than the downside.
This must be a decision from your heart and not from your mind. If you are ready to accept Jesus into your life, then speak the following prayer aloud.
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I repent and want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name amen.”
If you have said this prayer with your heart, you are now an adopted child of God and heir with Jesus Christ and entitled to eternal life with Him. His Holy Spirit has come to live inside you. The Holy Spirit will comfort, guide, lead and convict you of sins so you may ask forgiveness.
Congratulations, your name has now been written in the Lords’ book of life which means you will have eternal life with Him. Now go and find yourself a bible believing, loving church, so you may grow in your new life.
