All things remain subject to God’s Word

Because all things remain subject to God’s Word, consequently, all things are also subject to Jesus. Jesus holds preeminence in all matters. To have preeminence implies being projected forward, possessing excellence, superiority, and supreme status. Hebrews 11:3 affirms, “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God.”

“For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.” Colossians 1:16-19

The first verse it says that all things were created by Him. There is not anything in this earth that has not been created by God; therefore, all things are still subject to God. John 1:1-4 says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

When Jesus was raised from the dead

When Jesus was raised from the dead Hebrews 1:8 says that God turned to Jesus and said, “Thy throne, O God, is forever!” He gave Jesus the scepter of
righteousness, and God sat down. He placed Jesus in the highest position in the universe to run it. Immediately afterwards, Jesus met with His disciples and said, “All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. You go in My name, you lay hands on the sick, you cast out demons, you speak with new tongues, and if you drink any deadly thing, it will not harm you.” Matthew 28:18, Mark 16:17-18.

Jesus also said in (Matthew16:19 NKJV), “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew16:19 NKJV). Then Jesus returned to heaven, sat down, where His enemies would be made His footstool!  The Body of Christ then received all authority of the universe!

Satan’s Deception

Since then, Satan’s deception has entered into the Church saying he is the one with all the power, trying to magnify himself. The church has been putting up with many things they don’t have to put up with. You need to get a clear perspective of Jesus’ position, and Satan’s destination. Too many churches have been allowing Satan’s deception to creep into their services and sermons. They refuse to speak about sin instead calling sin a mistake. They have turned to motivational and accommodating sermons that do nothing for drawing people closer to God. They preach as the bible says to ‘itching ears’, just to placate their listeners.

The Bible says that God appointed Jesus

The Bible says that God appointed Jesus, heir of all things, Hebrews 1:2-4. Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power…Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. The Bible says in Colossians 2:9, For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Jesus is the head of all principalities and power. All power is subordinate to the name of Jesus and to the Word of God. Jesus is in the position of excellence.

In Ephesians 1:17 Paul is praying for the Ephesians that “they would receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God, the eyes of their understanding be enlightened that they may know the exceeding greatness of His power.” The word exceeding in the Greek actually means super abundantly, far above, beyond measure. God’s power is immeasurable! “…According to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.” (vv.19-21)

Jesus is above every name that is named! God put all things under His feet and gave Him to be the head of all things! “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in the earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11

Satan himself will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Satan himself will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! “Does that mean that Satan will be saved?” No, it most certainly does not because Satan will never repent. God has already appointed his place in the lake of fire, and that is where he is headed. Where does this leave Satan? We will find the answer in Isaiah 54:16-17. 1Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.”

God did not create Satan. He created a beautiful angelic being by the name of Lucifer – God’s anointed cherub. Lucifer took the anointing that God had placed upon him, perverted it, and the Bible says iniquity was found in him.” (Ezekiel 28:15). He tried to exalt himself to the position of the supreme ruler of the universe, and he was thrown out of heaven. God is saying, “Yes, I have created Lucifer, and I will be responsible for his actions. I will see to it that no weapon formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me.” (Isaiah 54:17).

Moving forward

God has already redeemed you and has given you weapons that are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4). Understand this, that the only weapon Satan has to use against you is deception and condemnation.

After looked at the position of Jesus and discovering the fallen position of Satan. Where is your life at? In Ephesians 2:1,6 the Bible says, “And you that he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins…and has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” Jesus has been exalted, and we have been exalted. Jesus is in the highest position of authority, and we are there seated with Him in heaven. We have been raised with Him and are seated in heavenly places.
