Victory in Resistance
Give Jesus Control
Turn all your care over onto Jesus, “Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7) MEV. Don’t be anxious about the storms in your life. Jesus will handle them for you, and when you turn them over to him, He will give you peace in return. Give Jesus thanks for His taking control and for giving you peace of mind.
We’ve all been there at one time or another and having Jesus take control over our lives is also a battle because we don’t want to relinquish control. However, keeping control of where your life is going creates a larger problem. Your life becomes a disaster the further you travel down the wrong road. The longer you stay heading in the wrong direction, the further you distance yourself from the Word of God.
Trusting God instead of yourself
Trusting God instead of yourself is fighting the good fight of faith, “Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold on eternal life, to which you are called and have professed a good profession before many witnesses,” (1 Timothy 6:12) MEV.
The storms of life for believers come in various forms. It could be health issues, financial, spiritual, family, work or other personal problems. There’s also a battle in resisting the devil. However, you will find that as things get tougher, the bigger the victory when the battle is won, after trusting it in Christ’s hands.
Victory in Christ’s hands
Because Jesus bore on the cross, all sin, sickness and poverty which were part of the curse, they have no right to come into your life. We are no longer under the curse but under grace. It is the devil attempting to deceive you by telling you, you have no power to stop them from affecting you.
But Satan must be resisted with everything you have, and what you have is Jesus Christ who gives you the strength to resist. “I can do all things because of Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) MEV.
The longer the battle, the stronger you become because of the Holy Spirit God gave you. “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7) MEV.
Put faith into action
“I am the vine, you are the branches, He who remains in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without Me you can do nothing. … If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:5, 7) MEV.
Jesus said he will never leave you nor forsake you. He is always with you and will help you as you go through the storms of life. It’s time to put your faith into action.
So again, put all your care over into Jesus’ hands because He wants to help you have victory over Satan. Allow Jesus to be the Lord of your life. Resist the devil and stand strong in your faith. There is victory in resistance.
